Soul Food-Filled Day at Paris Photo
Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) was my destination today and it exceeded all expectation. Pleased to have booked tickets to 3 exceptional events - The movie premiere of On Closer Inspection the poetic documentary on Robert Cumming. Followed up by an engaging talk with Simon Baker and Dr Emilia Mickevicius of the Center for Creative Photography.
The Vivian Sassen’s exhibit excelled - even if you aren’t a groupie like me. Listening to her describe her parallel journeys in fashion & art sealed my fan girl status! Authentic, innovative and led by passion to pursue playful experimentation - she is a Concept Aware Queen!
I controlled my book habit to essentials - the catalog may break my lb limit for luggage but is going to be treasured!
And having David Campany sign my copy of Very Pictorial Conceptual Artist was a full circle moment.
Try as I might I missed the Alta show.
Did squeeze in a lunch with a dear friend on a layover.
A soul food-filled day.
