Kelly Fitzsimmons
In this collaboration I worked with the New York City-based NGO, Open Hands Initiative, and the documentary photography of Kelly Fitzsimmons. I consulted with the agency to determine how best to provide a bi-lingual exhibition at both Harvard Medical School in Cambridge MA and the University of Antioquia in Medellin, Columbia.
I edited and sequenced the photos Fitzsimmons took while both schools administered health care to members of the displaced community of Granizal. I suggested augmenting the images with first-person narratives and worked to find affordable solutions to hang the exhibit in non-traditional exhibition spaces.
