Jonathan Spath

Where many see granite stones in a seaside quarry, Jonathan Spath sees complex equations illustrated by nature.  

Taken in a former granite quarry on Cape Ann, MA, the photographs reflect an obsession with geometry, honed during his tenure as a high school math teacher.

Spath framed each shot to highlight a geometric truth. My edit was informed by abstract shape, form and texture.
